Those who liked, could like...

My and the lady have been thinking about replacing the current automobile with something more shiny. Our tastes being very demanding (of course), we have yet to find a car that doesn’t looks and feels right but isn’t too damned expensive.

This started me thinking about social networks and tastes. Last.fm can suggest songs to me because it knows my own taste in music and it knows the tastes of my friends. What I need right now is a social network of things where I can say which things I dig and which things I don’t.

For example I like some movies more than others. I like Brian Eno and Boards of Canada. I like my iPhone and I like Macs. I like being outdoors and being mobile. I like to beef jerky for snacks. I like GTD.

Let’s say I am willing to pour that personal information into a social network (such as facebook). Then I should be able to get suggestions on what other things I could like. For example, cities to visit, clothes … and even cars.

But maybe my blog and you few, but select readers of it are even better.

What car could I like ?
